SURFACE PREPARATION: The surface
shall be cleaned thoroughly. All concrete
surfaces shall be thoroughly pre-wetted
for at least one hour prior to the
application of SHALICRETE-151 coating.
There should not be standing water or
shiny wet surface. | Depressions are filled and leveled using filler ratio 1 Kg
cement: 1.5 by SHALIMAR PURE SILICA GRAINS (SPSG)
& 0.52 Kg SHALICRETE-151. After surface preparation, 1st
layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 kg/sqm mixed with
SHALICRETE - 151 @ 0.253 kg/sqm. Laying 2nd layer of
SHALINET (Fiber Cloth) when the 1st layer is still green.
Overlaps of joints should not be less than 10 cm. 3rd layer of
1.5 mm thickness consisting of slurry of cement @ 1.3 kg/m2
mixed with SHALICRETE- 151 @ 0.670 kg/Sqm & (SPSG)
@ 1.289kg/sqm. This will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours. | SHALICRETE-500

SUPER LATEX
(1,5 & 20 Kg.) | SHALICRETE SUPER LATEX is a single
component, anti-damp, synthetic rubber
emulsion, which can be added to any cementitous formulation, to achieve bonding
and waterproofing properties. SHALICRETE
SUPER LATEX is versatile product, which
can be mixed with cement slurry, mortar,
concrete or grout, as per recommended
dosage in each case. Masons enjoy using it
as an additive to repair mortars and
renderings, to arrest rebound loss due to its thixotropic properties. An excellent remedy
against rising dampness, salt-petre and
damp walls, when used as a plaster additive
SHALICRETE- SUPER LATEX is used for
filling and repair of bridges and all types of
concrete structures . | FOR ROOF: In cement slurry for bond
coat: dilute 1Ltr. SHALICRETE SUPER
LATEX with 3 Ltr. of clean water. Pour 1
kg cement to this milky solution & keep
mixing till it forms uniform slurry. This
slurry will cover about 2.5 Sqm and it
will form an excellent bond coat., on
which an overcoat can be applied,
(Plaster, Tile Work, Concreting) while the
bond coat is tacky.
SUNKUN PORTION: In cement slurry for
bond coat: dilute 3 Ltr. SHALICRETE
SUPER LATEX with 1.5 Ltr. of clean water.
Pour 1 kg. Cement to this milky solution &
application is same as noted above.
JOINT CRACK FILLING: As a putty for
joints: Mix 1 Part SHALICRETE SUPER
LATEX, 1 Part clean water, 1 Part cement,
3 Part Sand (below 600 Microns) approx
to form a mortar of putty consistency, for
application in joints. | FOR GROUTING:
In Cementitous Grouts: SHALICRETE SUPER LATEX can
be added to freshly prepared grouts and used either for
pocket grouting, base plate grouting or for injection purposes.
FOR INJECTION GROUTING:
mix 3 kg Latex per bag of cement, along-with other
grouting admixtures (SHALIKRETE EHS) for baseplate
and pocket grouting. Dilute SHALICRETE SUPER LATEX
with gauging water in the ratio 1:8.
FOR DPC SYSTEM:
In floors or as a damp proof course (DPC): SHALICRETE
SUPER LATEX can be diluted with gauging water in the
ratio 1:4 used to hydrate the flooring/DPC material. In
marshy arrears slurry coat (1:4:10=Latex: Water: Cement)
is recommended.
FOR 1Sqm. PLASTER WORK:
To make a high abrasion resistance polymeric cement
sand 15mm plaster dilute 220 grams of SHALICRETE
SUPER LATEX to 1.76 Ltr. of water and mix required

(5, 20 Liters.) | SHALIMAR WATER TIGHT: TYPE - B Is a two
Component acrylic polymer modified cementitous coating, which consists of PART A
AND PART B acrylic emulsion. It can simply be
applied by a stiff brush, or trowel to obtain the
desired thickness. It consists of specially
selected cements, graded hardwearing
aggregates and additives supplied in power and
TYPE - B liquid component of blended acrylic
copolymers. The polymer provides SHALIMAR
WATER TIGHT with exceptional adhesion,
toughness and durability.
ADVANTAGES: Excellent adhesion, bonds to
porous and nonporous surfaces. Non-toxic ideal
for portable water tanks. Excellent for damp
proofing basements & leaking brick and
masonry walls. Breathable-allows transmission
of water vapors from interior of building.
Eliminates hand rubbing of concrete surfaces.
Excellent for Good resistance to carbon dioxide
& chloride ion diffusion. | SHALIMAR WATER TIGHT TYPE-B Is
designed to re-face and even out
variations in concrete and masonry
surfaces. Effectively protects against
concrete decay providing a long lasting
barrier to waterborne corrosive salts and
atmospheric gases. Provides a seamless,
waterproof coating suitable for use in
water tanks, reservoirs, fountains, roofs
and sealing the bar holes to ensure water
tightness. Effectively seals concrete
masonry walls and bridge the shrinkage
cracks, which are static. Provides a tough
and durable coating, which cannot be
easily damaged or worn away.
Has excellent weather resistance
properties and is suitable for exterior
applications. Acts as a barrier against
water leakages. | For best results damp the surface before coating with
SHALIMAR WATER TIGHT TYPE - B. Apply the mixed
material using a short, stiff bristle brush preferably 100 to
150mm width like paint. Trowel applications can be
undertaken as necessary using the correct mixing ratio to
obtain satisfactory consistency. On hot substrates, i.e. over
40oC surface temperature, a primer coat of mixed
SHALIMAR WATER TIGHT TYPE - B & water with slurry
like consistency should be applied. Prime only areas that
can be coated with SHALIMAR WATER TIGHT TYPE - B before the primer dries. Materials should not be applied at
temperatures below 10oC. It is recommended that for
general re-surfacing the total thickness of the applied
material be 1 to 2 mm. Coverage: It depends on the
required consistency. SHALIMAR WATER TIGHT TYPE -A
is supplied as a package of 50kgs (Bag) of which 30 kg is
mixed with SHALIMAR WATER TIGHT TYPE - B 5 Kg Jerry can, at even consistency (1 mm thickness) is as

| Shalimar Plus is saponification resistant
plastic copolymer dispersion with extraordinarily
favorable characteristics when used as polymer
component in hydraulically setting mortars.
By addition of Shalimar Plus mortar will be
improved particularly in terms of the following
characteristics: Strength of adhesion to the
base is distinctly improved. This allows structural
bonds between existing mortars/concretes and
fresh mortar. The compressive and flexural
strength is increased compared to the reference
mix. Water absorption is reduced thus providing
increased waterproofing properties. | Shalimar Plus is particularly suitable for
use in following applications. The
production of structural leveling
compounds and bonded screeds. The
production of repair mortars. e.g. in the
repair and filling of structural concrete in
bridge building and civil engineering.
For water proofing mortars for roofs
basements etc. Cold joints between
old and new concrete can be made
strong and non permeable with a
bonding slurry consisting of Shalimar
Plus and cement mortar . | The base must be clean and free from loose particles, dust grease oil or other remnants. Unsound areas should be removed until sound concrete is located. After cleaning of the surface apply first coat of Shalimar Plus with the help of paintbrush or rubber spreader immediately on affected areas within 1 hour. Apply second coat with the help of paintbrush or rubber spreader within 3-4 hours to ensure proper intercoat adhesion. Allow curing for minimum 12 hours before any further painting or treatment is started. | SHALIFEX - 5000
