SHALIMAR’s KAVASSU EP GROUT LV-3 has good flow properties at either ambient or higher temperatures. SHALIMAR’s KAVASSU EP GROUT LV-3 has excellent curing characteristics. Due to heat generation,care should be taken in using this grout in thick sections (greater than 20mm) at ambient temperatures of 200C or above.

KAVASSU EP GROUT LV-3
Application Areas: Machine base plates and crane-rail grouting. Anchoring of steel reinforcement, girders and post-tensioned cables in concrete and stone. Joining precast concrete units, concrete to concrete, concrete to steel & crack repair for concrete surface.
Surface Preparation : All surfaces must be cleaned thoroughly and all contaminations fully removed by chemical or mechanical methods. All bolt pockets and under bases must be free from dust, laitance and of sound substrate. If needed, substrate must be hacked to provide extra mechanical key.

SHALIMAR’s KAVASSU EP GROUT LV-3 epoxy mortar comprises three components the resin, the hardener, and the special additive filler which are supplied pre-weighed in the correct proportions. The ease of mixing in cold weather is aided by storing tins in warm atmosphere.It is essential that the filler is kept dry and free from frost. When required for application the hardener should first be poured into the can containing the resin and drained well. The two components should be thoroughly mixed, preferably with a mechanical stirrer,e.g. An electric drill with stirrer attachment, until a uniform clear liquid is obtained. The liquid should then be added to the filler &thoroughly blended in until all the aggregate has been wetted outand the mortar is of uniform colour and consistency.

Cleanliness in handling epoxy resins is essential to prevent skin irritation. Gloves must be worn and use goggles to prevent contact with eye. Any splashes on skin should be washed with water and medical advice sought.
