SHALIMAR’S KAVASSU ACRYLBOND – 115

Acrylic polymer base modified cementitious composite bonding agent. Polymer in conjunction with cement improves its poor adhesion properties, low impact strength, low flexural strength & thin section fragility. It gives ultimate protection to concrete surface against severe corrosion, salt attack etc. Water curing for 14 days is must after concreting. If applied as waterproofing coarse a protection layer of plaster/ brick Coba/mud phaska brick tiles/ PCC is required to be laid.

Acts as bonding agent for joining old to new concrete, waterproofing of basements, sunks, roofs, swimming pools, cooling tower & can be used as concrete repair mortar.

The surface shall be cleaned thoroughly. All concrete surfaces shall be thoroughly pre-wetted for atleast an hour prior to the application of SHALIMAR’S KAVASSU ACRYLBOND – 115 coating.

Depressions are filled and leveled using filler ratio 1 kg cement:
1.5 Kg. SHALIMAR’S KAVASSU PURE SILICA GRAINS (SPSG) & 0.52 kg Shalimar’s Kavassu Acrylbond – 115. After surface st preparation, 1 layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 kg/sqm mixed withShalimar’s Kavassu Acrylbond- 115 @ 0.253 kg/sqm. Laying 2nd layer of SHALINET (fiber cloth) when the 1st layer is still green. Overlaps of joints should not be less than 10cm. 3rd layer of 1.5 mm thickness consisting of slurry of cement @1.3 kg/m2 mixed with Shalimar’s Kavassu Acrylbond – 115@ 0.670 kg/sqm & (SPSG) @ 1.289 kg/sqm. This will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours.
