Kavassuplast Asphaltomastic Membrane is a polymer modified plastomeric waterproofing screed layer manufactured to highest International standards. Kavassuplast Asphaltomastic Membrane is a five layer pre fabricated mastic screed, in which center core is of high Molecular high density non woven polyester mat (Manufactured in Italy), center core is the heart of Kavassuplast Asphaltomastic Membrane in which Top & bottom layer is consisting of Polyethylene sheets which is a complete barrier against incursion of water & moisture. The center core is protected on both sides with polymer modified Asphaltic mix, which has high penetration, high heat resistance and much higher softening point asphalt mix. Shaliplast Asphalto-mastic Membrane also achieves good bonding with wooden, concrete & steel substrate and create a strong adhesion between overlap joints. In turn, Shaliplast Asphaltomastic Membrane is protected on the top & bottom with thermofusible HMHDPE sheet which act as an extra waterproofer to reinforce the non permeable quality of the entire mastic sheet. The resultant Shaliplast Asphaltomastic Membrane has very good elongation to absorb all structural movements, point loads etc. With high tensile strength, the Shaliplast Asphaltomastic Screed is still extremely flexible and pliable to adapt to contours. For these reasons Shaliplast Asphaltomastic Membrane makes an ideal waterproofer. Shaliplast Asphaltomastic Membrane is available in 3, 4 & 5mm thickness.

For Bridge Slab Waterproofing:
Application of Shaliplast Asphaltomastic Membrane is extremely fast and easy. Smooth surface with minimum slope is required to apply Shaliplast Asphaltomastic Membrane. The concrete surface is first cleaned to eliminate all sharp projections. After cleaning Suitable primer such as Shalimar Bitumen Primer is then coated @ 400 Gms/ Sqm over the surface. After drying of primer Shaliplast Asphaltomastic Membrane is unrolled over the primed surface (with overlaps of 7.5 – 10 cm) by and bonded completely by thermofusing bottom layer of HMHDPE by isobutane torch. The overlaps joints are then thermofused by isobutane torch flame. Special care is taken at singularities such as drains, expansion joints etc. More details of application are available in application Guide. Shaliplast Asphaltomastic Membrane acts as seamless water barrier over the concrete surfaces & base screed before laying of bituminous concrete in flexible pavements.
